Mechanic, Chrisel Scooter clinic (Promod Almeda underwent prevocational & skill development training)

Mechanic, Chrisel Scooter clinic Promod was born with Downs syndrome, he underwent prevocational & skill development training at SiA resource centre at Ramangara. He trained in housekeeping domain & learnt many activities. He showed interested in mechanic work. We put him in his relative’s mechanical garage at Ramanagara for further basic training. His transformation to a mechanic taken years of perseverance and support. Now Pramod continued & working in same garage as mechanic who runs the garage is also a person with locomotor disability. Now, he is a trained mechanic who can dismantle the clutches and engines, change types and interact with customers. Pramod is a good example for successful person, that shows if we identify & focussed his skill in right time they can do wonder.
